Answers

a) i wanted my gum package to protray a cool gum thats anyone can use.  It has no age limit whatsoever, and i acheived that by putting neutral colors that just catch your attention.  It looks cool, so it must taste cool right? =D

b) I’m targeting my gum package to mostly teenagers, but that doesn’t mean older or younger people cant use it.  It’s basically targetted for everyone; anyone can enjoy the taste of Saphire.  I acheived this, once again, with cool colors that are easy on the eyes and catch your attention.

c) I used photoshop for creating the background. 

d) I customed designed everything in my gum package.  I designed the background, and my logo, to make it the best gum ev-er! =D  Everyone will want a taste of Saphire, comming out in 2010! =D

a) I was trying to express to people that words do hurt, and i achieved this by writing a powerful message on my photo.

b) I used the Guassian Blur to get that dreamy photo effect in my photo.

c) I used the Overlay blending mode to get that high pitch color in my photo.

d) i did not use any special effect brushes because it doesn’t quite go with my photo.  My photo is a very simple look that gives away a powerful message.  The brush tools didn’t quite suit it.

1. What is the purpose of your logo?

The purpose of my logo is to get my name out there.  I want my logo to be in newspapers as the best graphic designer ever, and then who knows…maybe my logo can be on clothing or appliances.  And my logo looks really cool, so it could even be a namebrand! =O

2. What do you want to be called?

I would like to be called Sophiee-uhh Amin.  I think its a cool way to spell my name that gives it that hip flavour, but you can still tell it’s me.

How do you want to be represented?

I want to be represented as unique.  I feel my text is just the right amount of everything.  Cool, girly, strong, tough, and all of the above.  It basically represents every kind of characteristic.

What did you do?

Well, what I did was I copied the cat’s eye by using The Magnetic Lasso, and then pasted it.  Then I rotated the eye to look more realistic.

What did you do?

Well, what I did was first I copied the woman’s picture using Magnetic Lasso , and then pasted it.  After that, I made a new layer and copied half of the woman’s face using Rectangular Marquee Tool, then pasted it, then vertically flipped it, and then rotated it.  I put the second layer (the copy of half her face) under the first layer so the ripped picture would overlap the (half of her face) picture so it looked identical.  Then what I had to do was use the Clone Stamp Tool and cloned her skin so that both pictures would look like one.  After I got her skin tone just right, I went back to the background layer and cloned the background using the original background.

Very difficult… =P

1) I really enojoyed the film.  It was so passionate and well done and made me really think about how fortunate I am.  What stood out for me was the children’s personality.  Even though they didnt have alot, they were still happy with what they got and didn’t bother to stress about the small stuff.  It really makes you think about what you have, and what others don’t.

2) I learned alot of new stuff from this movie.  Like it doesn’t matter what type of camera you use to capture a beautiful picture.  These kids were using these poor quality camera’s and there pictures came out beautiful, like professionals.  And I also learned that you shouldn’t take things for granted because out there in the world people are suffering worser then you’re “case” so let it go and have fun.

3) The world definetly needs to change. Governments, Mayors, and Presidents of the world don’t understand that there are people suffering in the world and things need to be done.  Money needs to be sent out, and scholarships and opportunities need to be given out education wise.  The world needs to change…so we need to change the world!

4)  What am I willing to do the change the world?  Well I already help.  I donate my old clothing to salvation army, and I donate money to donations.  what more I could do is stop littering, and try (when i’m older) to do what Zana Briski.

6) A non-profit organization that is important to me is “Feed The Children”. Our school helps out with “Feed The Children” by using the money we get from students that dress down ($2) and use it for that cause.  We help build a school for the children that either don’t have one or can’t afford it.  This is important to me because we are giving an opportunity and chance to learn and be educated.  I am not sure if they have a website.

7)  Maybe we can do an add with our photoshop skills and post it around to help organizations get more donations, free of charge.  And maybe we can get our ads on buses, or magazines (if possible).  I think this can help organizations that are important to us and important to other people.

A 300 dpi image would be clearer then a 72 dpi image when printed out at the same size because we’re using different numbers.  The number of dots used to create the image is bigger then the other option.  The 300 dpi image has more dots then the 72 dpi image so it was more clearer to see.

 2) What would a picture created at 1 dpi look like?

A picture created at 1 dpi looks like nothing….just one blank color on the screen because you cannot see anything.  You can only see the color that is most portrayed in the picture.
